Hailing from a modest middle class family that raised him in the suburbs of Washington D.C., Christopher Howell’s tight-knit family upbringing instilled within him a strong work ethic, the value of a dollar, and a profound love and respect of his country.  With many of Chris’s family members having served in the various branches of our Armed Services, Chris has always felt a sense of obligation towards one day engaging in his own public service to our nation.

“I am running for State House in District 97 because now is the time for me to give back to my country and serve the State of Florida and its people. I truly believe in American exceptionalism, and I have no doubt that America is the greatest nation on earth because we resist tyranny, we enable our people to pursue their dreams, and we help the less fortunate at every opportunity, which is why we attract people from around the world to become American citizens.  We cannot remain passive while so much of what our Founding Fathers established and fought for- our freedom and our liberties- is carelessly tossed aside.  This is a fight worth winning, and I stand with those who want a limited, accountable, and effective state government that does not unnecessarily intrude into people’s lives or their businesses,” explains Chris.

“People are tired of both the unending blame game and politicians who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Should I be privileged to serve in the Florida House of Representatives, the burden is on me to follow through on my commitment to bring fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability to Tallahassee. I will strive to represent the people of District 97 competently and effectively, and I will always be accessible to my constituents.  Every vote that I cast in the Legislature will first and foremost take into consideration the interests of Florida taxpayers, not those of the special interests; and I ask for your vote to send me to Tallahassee so that I can protect your prosperity and quality of life from those who want to diminish it.”
